About the Author

I live in a quiet, historic town where the only exciting things to happen occur in books. Most days, you can find me with a cup of tea in one hand, hunched over my laptop as I write, read, or research.

WIP Watch: Day 33 – A Video Excerpt

Yesterday evening, while writing Speak Not of Murder, I crossed the finish line for 50,000 words combined in this book and the second Lady Katherine Regency Mystery. As of this moment, the tally written for each this month is:

Speak Not of Murder: 36,288 words
Lady Katherine Regency Mysteries, Book 2: 14,168 words

There is certainly a bit of a leaning in those two numbers. What can I say? I am loving the wild ride my new book is taking me on. I know you’re all waiting for the second Lady Katherine book — and I am still working diligently to finish that up! — but I’ve been bitten by the writing bug. This new mystery is so much fun!

If you don’t want to take my word for it, watch this video of me reading from the book. This excerpt takes place on the tail end of chapter one (I’m not happy with the very beginning, so I jumped ahead).

What do you think, should I keep reading next week? ;)
